Welcome |
|
I would like to welcome you to the new Webre Family
History website. I've have made several changes,
so things will be quite different! I hope you will
enjoy the new site as much as you enjoyed the old one.
One MAJOR change is that you now have to log in to the
new site. This log in will give you access to much
more information than you had before.
I'm currently in the process of uploading the images and
documents from the old website to the new site. The information
and items I have to move number into the thousands, so it will
take a little time. I appreciate your patience. In the mean
time, if you have questions or comments, please feel free to
contact me. Likewise if you find something that needs a
correction, please contact me also. If you have suggestions for
things you would like to see on the new website let me know!

FAMILY REUNION |
|
Tentatively mark your
calendars for April or May 2010! We are planning a
rededication ceremony for the tomb in the spring, after
all the work is done on it. At that time, we will
have a HUGE family reunion so everyone can get
acquainted or reacquainted.
Start getting out your
old family photos (and your brag books grandmas!...I'll
have mine!!) This will be a great time to celebrate our
wonderful family and all that we have accomplished.
I can't wait to meet
everyone! |

UPDATE |
|
We are currently
waiting for work to start! Alfortish had
some jobs scheduled ahead of ours and we have
been assured that the work will begin before All
Saints Day. We will keep you informed! |

Most
of the descendants of Jean Pierre Webre, of
Lafourche Parish, are aware that for the last
several weeks we have had a GIGANTIC fundraising
drive going on to raise money to restore our
family tomb in Thibodaux. You will be happy and
pleased to hear that we have reached a milestone
in our fundraising which will enable us to begin
work on the restoration process within the next
three to four weeks. We are still trying to
collect money in order to put perpetual care on
the tomb once the work is completed. Check the
Tomb Restoration Website for more details! If
you have any questions, comments or would like
to share research with me, please
contact me at janice@jwebre.com.
This has
been an enormous project and task, as you can
well imagine. If you have not received a
request from us, it's not because we don't love
you, it is because we don't have an address for
you! Send us your address and we will be
happy to send you a letter requesting a
donation. If you would like to just send a
check, without a letter, that is even better!
I look forward to hearing from you.

WE NEED
VOLUNTEERS! |
|
We are
currently looking for volunteers to help with the
planning of the Family Reunion!! If you would like
to have some input into the affair...contact me! I have the
planning site set up so that you don't necessarily have
to live in the Thibodaux to be able to be a part of
planning this. Again, contact me so I can give you the
information on how to get to our planning site!
